How search works

• Search matches each page’s title, its address, and a short list of keywords written for that page.
• Every word you type must match. Two words narrow the results rather than widen them, so “Navy E-5” finds only the Navy E-5 page.
• Capital letters do not matter. “bah” and “BAH” return the same pages.
• An empty search shows every page, grouped by type.

What is searched

The search covers 46 pages: the pay charts and pay dates, the branch charts, the rank pages, the calculators, the special pay pages, the guides, and the site information pages. Each page is listed once, under the type of page it is.

Search does not read the full text of pages, and it does not look up individual pay cells or any personal account. To find a single figure, open the chart for its year and find the grade row and years column. Thehow to read a pay chart guide explains the layout.

No results

If a search returns nothing, try a shorter word, such as a grade (“E-5”), a branch (“Army”), or a topic (“BAH”). Remove one word at a time. If a page you expected is missing, tell us which page it was.
